The mission of the International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres (IAML) is to broaden access to music resources through international collaboration and advocacy, to support research, learning, performance and enjoyment. Our members open up the vast world of information and repertoire in their daily interactions with students, educators, researchers, musicians, and the general public. We work to promote and preserve musical heritage among diverse cultures as we recognise the importance of music in the lives of the world’s people.

Help needed: Aufruf zur Rettung des Isang-Yun-Hauses (Berlin)

Von der Öffentlichkeit unbeachtet blieb bisher die Schließung des Yun-Hauses Berlin im Dezember 2012. Das ehemalige Wohnhaus von Isang Yun (1917-1995) in Berlin-Kladow war 2008 von der in Seoul ansässigen Isang Yun Peace Foundation mit Mitteln der südkoreanischen Regierung käuflich erworben und in den folgenden Jahren renoviert und umgebaut worden. Das Arbeitszimmer des koreanischen Komponisten und die Wohnräume sind weitgehend original erhalten. Im Souterrain des Hauses, der für Veranstaltungen genutzt wurde, gab es eine kleine Ausstellung zu Isang Yun.
