The IAML website (iaml.info) is to be redesigned to become the central point for storing and making accessible all virtual, public IAML documents. It will be the primary source for providing current information about the organization for all of its members. It is intended that the front page of the website will fulfill some of the functions of the previously published IAML newsletter.
IAML is now searching for a Web Assistant. The successful applicant should be able to start work in this position as soon as possible after the conference in Vienna (28th July to 2nd August 2013). The Web Assistant will assist the Web Editor who is responsible for the whole web presence of the organization. (For the job description of the Web Editor see here). The Web Assistant will also be expected to seek and generate content for the website.
We are looking for a candidate who is innovative, creative and able to work as a member of a small team, who is familiar with the business and structure of IAML. As the majority of pages on the website are in English, the Web Assistant must be fluent in English (both written and spoken). In addition, she/he should have some basic proficiency in the two other IAML languages (French and German).
The Web Assistant will work closely with the Web Editor and the Webmaster, and will join them as a member of the IAML Publications Committee. The Web Assistant will receive an honorarium of € 750 per annum. The position has – in the first instance – a limited tenure of three years; it is possible that the arrangement will be continued beyond that time. There will be a six month probation period.
There is no application form. Interested candidates are asked to submit their application (CV, covering letter, and – if possible – examples of their work or references) to the Secretary General by 10th July 2013. Short-listed candidates will be interviewed during the International Conference in Vienna or at another agreed date via Skype.
Kind regards
Jutta Lambrecht
Chair, Publications Committee
