The mission of the International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres (IAML) is to broaden access to music resources through international collaboration and advocacy, to support research, learning, performance and enjoyment. Our members open up the vast world of information and repertoire in their daily interactions with students, educators, researchers, musicians, and the general public. We work to promote and preserve musical heritage among diverse cultures as we recognise the importance of music in the lives of the world’s people. |
In response to the many challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, IAML's journal, Fontes Artis Musicae (2016-current issue) will be freely accessible on Project MUSE through June 30, 2020.
The MusRef database, developed and maintained by David Day (Brigham Young University), has received a major update: over 3,000 new reference sources (both print and online) have been added to the music and dance databse.
The Call for Papers is open for the session Music in the Library World to be held during the IFLA World Library and Information Congress in Dublin, Ireland, from 15-22 August 2020. Submit by 15 March 2020.
The Music Library Association (IAML US branch) is holding its annual meeting this week in Norfolk, Virginia. Many sessions will be live streaming for free.
