The 1975 international IAML conference took place 17–23 August at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. IAML met together with the International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives (IASA), whose meetings were organized jointly with the Association of Recorded Sound Collections (ARSC). In addition, the Music Library Association (MLA) held its annual summer meeting during the conference.
