Call for applications for the position of IAML Assistant Web Editor

The IAML website (iaml.info) has been undergoing a major structural redesign to act as a central point of reference for all virtual, public IAML documents as well as current information about the organization for all of its members.

IAML now wishes to appoint an Assistant Web Editor to share the workload of the Web Editor in seeking and preparing new content for the website and managing IAML's social media accounts: currently Twitter and Facebook. Initially work might also include assistance with editing and transferring content from the current website to the new one in preparation for it to go live.

The successful candidate will be innovative, creative, able to work successfully as part of a small team and will ideally have some familiarity with IAML's business and structure. IAML has three official languages but the majority of website pages are in English so you must be fluent in both written and spoken English. Basic proficiency in IAML's other official languages of French and German is helpful.

The Assistant Web Editor will assist the Web Editor in all aspects of running the website and is expected to be able to work with minimal supervision. Payment takes the form of an honorarium of € 750 per annum. The position has – in the first instance – a limited tenure of three years; it is possible that the arrangement will be continued beyond that time. There will be a 6 month probation period.

Interested candidates are asked to submit their application (CV, covering letter and, if possible, examples of their work or references) to the IAML Secretary General by 22nd October 2014. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by Skype or Facetime.
