The 100th Anniversary of the Music Department of the National Library of the Czech Republic 1923–2023

This year, the Music Department celebrates the 100th anniversay of its continuous activity. Since 1923, it has been involved in acquiring, cataloguing and making available music prints, manuscripts, and other music-related documents. The exhibition outlines the department's history, presents the exceptional features of historical and modern music collections as well as research and publishing activities related to them. Visitors can also look into the process of cataloguing the music documents including their preservation.
