By Jan Guise (IAML Vice President, University of Toronto, Canada): This was my first congress as a member of the IAML Board, and my 6^th in-person congress.

The IAML Publications Awards Subcommittee, at the 2024 Congress in Stellenbosch, announced the recipients of the Vladimir Fédorov Award for the best article and the François Lesure Award for the best review published in volume 70 (2023) of Fontes Artis Musicae.
