Panel and discussion:  "Digital Score Platforms for Libraries"

Digital scores are slowly becoming ubiquitous in the music studio and on stage. Adoption across music libraries, archives, and documentation centres varies widely, and now is a good time to dive into what is available and how these platforms work. In this session, we will review a number of the dominant digital scores platforms available to libraries supporting music study. While a few of these platforms are designed primarily with individual users in mind, more and more institutions are looking to include these collections in their holdings. We will look closely at the experiences of users when using these resources in the institutional setting.

Duration: 90 minutes

Moderator: Rupert Ridgewell, IAML President

Panelists and organizers:

    - Stephanie Bonjack, Music, Theatre & Dance Librarian; Head of Collections, Materials Management & Cataloging Section, University of Colorado Boulder, USA
    - Katherine Penner, Music, Film & Theatre Liaison Librarian, University of Manitoba Libraries, Canada
