The Norwegian Institute of Recorded Sound (NIRS) follows up on the great feedback we got over the last few years for our musical Advent Calendar with more old, old… ooold recordings! After all, it has now become a tradition!
From the 1st of December and every day until Christmas Day, we will present a vintage recording, with its original historical noises for an authentic “good old times” feeling. In this year’s edition of the calendar we follow Arne Dorumsgaard’s vision for his/our collection and present Italian singers in the Italian repertoire, so not necessarily Christmas music… However, we are including a link to the previous year's calendar entries, so you can enjoy music for Christmas as well. Read more about this year’s theme on the main site of the calendar.
As before, new sound clip(s) and text will be published every day on our website! and you can also listen to the last few year’s music!
