WHEN IN BELGIUM…
Our first entry in the Conference Diary series is from Karen McAulay (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Glasgow):
Conference Diary: a Flying Visit
My congratulations to the organising team: their suggested hotels were not only close to the conservatoire, but mine even had a bus-stop for the Brussels airport express bus. Travel has never been so easy!
I had the great privilege to take part in this year’s Annual Study Weekend (ASW) with the IAML UK & Ireland Branch in Cambridge, Friday 11th - Sunday 13th April. I had been told that this would be a perfect time to visit the city and I can testify that this is certainly true. Everything was blossoming and the birds were just as enthusiastic as I was! The meeting took place in Fitzwilliam College – a modern college, ten minutes’ walk from the city center. The college gardens were very beautiful and there was a serene atmosphere (the students had left for Easter holidays!)
Dear All,
It is my great pleasure to let you all know that it is the 60th anniversary of IAML(UK & Irl)! Many congratulations to all members of this excellent IAML branch.
IAML(UK & Irl) has forged ahead on innovative and productive paths on so many levels, including the creation of its active multi-national branch. The many projects and resources the branch has developed are inspiring indeed.
I'm sure all IAML colleagues join me in wishing all in IAML(UK & Irl) a happy anniversary, and many more to come!
Yours sincerely,
Barbara Dobbs Mackenzie
