IAML nominated The National Youth Orchestra of Iraq as a contender for the 2011 International Music Council Musical Rights Award 2011. The programme received a "Special Commendation".

Cordial congratulations to IAML member Bonna Boettcher, who has been awarded the MLA Citation - the Association's highest honour!

"At the recent conference in San Jose, the Music Library Association awarded the MLA Citation, the Association’s highest honor, to Bonna J. Boettcher, currently Director of Music and Fine Arts Libraries, and Adjunct Professor of Music at Cornell University. The Citation is award for distinguished service to the organization over a career.
