Have you heard of Cycling for Libraries?
"Founded in 2011, the Cycling for libraries is an international cycling conference for librarians and library lovers. It aims to advocate libraries and increase awareness of the valuable services and resources that libraries offer to the community. We are working together with local library associations and organizations as IFLA and EBLIDA."
This year, a 10-day tour is planned from Oslo to Aarhus in September that promises "3 countries, 600 km of cycling, 3 ferries & 20+ library visits!" The last stop on the tour will be the Next Library conference, 12-15 September 2015.
Local tours are also planned in Austin, Texas on April 14 to conincide with the Texas Library Association conference, and Basel – Strasbourg (6-10 June 2015) to conclude in time for the Association des Bibliothécaires de France conference.
