<p>The project “Music Migrations in the Early Modern Age: The Meeting of the European East, West and South” was developed under the financial patronage of the European scientific framework “Humanities in the European Research Area” (HERA) in the period from 1 September 2013 to 31 August 2016. The participants were scholars and researchers from Croatia, Germany, Poland and Slovenia.</p><p>After the first project conference (at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, 24-25 April 2014) – held under the title <em>Music Migrations: From Source Research to Cultural Studies</em>, where the initial results of the project research were presented together with the insights of guest-experts in related topics (the title of the proceedings: <em>Musicians’ Mobilities and Music Migrations in Early Modern Europe. Biographical Patterns and Cultural Exchanges</em>) – the second symposium was organised in Zagreb. Under the title <em>Music Migrations in the Early Modern Age: People, Markets, Patterns and Styles</em> (Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, 13-14 October 2014), it gathered scholars from the project and their guests – musicologists and historians – who investigated the reasons and paths, as well as the aftermaths and results of musical migrations. In all, seventeen articles by eighteen authors from this meeting are published in this proceedings.</p><p>The third volume of proceedings, resulting from the last conference within this project, held in Warsaw in May 2016 (<em>Music Migration in the Early Modern Age: Centres and Peripheries – People, Works, Styles, Paths of Dissemination and Influence</em>) is already in print.</p>
