We regret to announce the death of the Rev. Prof. dr hab. Jerzy Pikulik (7.04.1928-2015). He was the eminent Polish musicologist specialising in medieval music, the lecturer and the founder of musicology specialty at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (formerly the Warsaw Theological Academy). Pikulik participated in the works of the Musicology Section of the Polish Composers' Union, the International Musicological Society, and UNESCO. He is known from numerous publications focused on Polish music up to XVI century, especially medieval religious monody. Professor combined passion for science with didactic talent. He died on 12 February 2015.
