The Swedish IAML Branch together
with IAMIC and IMS have the pleasure of inviting you to a
conference in Sweden in 2006! It is the first time ever that
these three organsiations will hold a joint meeting. |

Welcome to Göteborg, the city with
a fast pulse and friendly atmosphere, many cultural events,
good shopping facilities and beautiful nature all within
walking distance. A ride on the local tram will take you to
one of Europe's most spectacular archipelagos. The sea is
close at hand and the city's maritime connections are
everywhere apparent. Göteborg is centrally placed in
Scandinavia and has a fast train service to three of the
Nordic capitals. The British newspaper, The Independent, has
had Göteborg on its list of the
most trendy tourist goals in the world. |

The conference will take place in
"Artisten", the Göteborg University centre for music and
drama. Artisten is located in the University campus in the
centre of the city. |
|
The conference excursions have
something to offer for every taste. A visit to famous
rock-carvings from the Swedish Bronze Age, a boat trip to
Elfsborg Fortress, a tour of a manor farm with a small village,
an organ excursion and a music-related walk
through Göteborg itself. The conference week will end with
traditional
Swedish midsummer celebrations. |
