Closing Banquet info

We have had a couple questions about the banquet, so I am posting them here:

What is the food for the banquet? Does it include a vegetarian option?:

Dinner Menu: Homemade pea soup, freshly baked bread, potatoes, maple smoked bacon, Canadian salted back bacon, farmer's sausage, “tourtière” (meat pie), meatballs, sweet ham, omelette soufflé, baked beans, homemade ketchup, pickles & beets, scrumptious crêpes, real maple syrup, sugar pie, coffee & tea. CIRMMT Workshop on SIMSSA: Single Interface for Music Score Searching and Analysis, July 28, 9:00am-2:00pm, New Music Building, A832

For IAML 2012 participants who are interested in learning more about Music Information Retrieval projects under development at McGill University, a free half-day research workshop has just been announced for Saturday, July 28th, the day after the IAML conference ends. Exhibitor Manual revised

There were a couple of updates to the Exhibitor Manual, so we've uploaded a new version. This includes a new date for shipping materials for the exhibits-- July 17, unstead of the May 28th date that was listed. The numbering for the tables has been updated, because the numbers weren't all clear earlier. If you have any questions about these updates, please let me know.

Tuesday Accompanying Persons Tour

Green Montreal: Biodome & Botanical Gardens

We needed at least 40 people to do a bus tour for the Tuesday Accompanying Persons Tour to the Biodome & Botanical Gardens, but we did not meet that, so we will handle this tour another way--

We will refund money to anyone who signed up.

Instead we will offer that anyone who signed up (or anyone that wants to go on this tour), will meet on Tuesday morning at 9:30 am at the Registration Desk for the Conference, and we will lead the group to the Biodome & Botanical Gardens using public transportation.

Our block of rooms at the Best Western Ville Marie is full. We are pleased that we have secured a second conference hotel, the Holiday Inn Montreal-Midtown. It is about 7 blocks from the conference centre and is priced at $135 CAD for either single or double occupancy. To get the conference rate, please use the registration form or contact me, if you have already registered, so we can book through the registration secretariat.
