Banquet: Buses for the Banquet will leave from the conference centre lower level on the Mansfield Street side at 6:30 PM (18h30). Dress for the banquet is casual and comfortable-- we are going to a sugar shack in a maple tree forest. Dinner options include vegetarian food along with traditional dishes. There is a gift shop to purchase maple syrup and other treats.
This evening's concert will take place at the Redpath Hall at McGill University, which is the place where we held the opening night reception. The concert with the Bozzini Quartet will begin at 6:30 PM (18h30) and last one hour and include music by Canadian composers Claude Vivier, Micheal Oesterle and Cassandra Miller. For those who wish to be guided to the concert location, a volunteer will meet you at 6pm in the level 1 foyer of the conference centre, just inside the Sherbrooke St entrance.
Anyone wishing to vote must be registered as a IAML member on the membership database as demonstrated by Kathy Adamson during the first session of Council.

CHANGE FROM EARLIER: The gathering place for bus tours this afternoon will be in the lower level of the conference centre, just inside the Mansfield Street entrance. The Walking of Old Montréal is at the IAML Registration Desk on the 3rd floor. For all tours arrive by 1:45 PM (13h45) to start departing for tours by 2:00 PM (14h00).
A new recording has just been released as a special way an homage to Helmut Kallmann
The recording is "Sounds of North: Two Centuries of Canadian Piano Music", which is a 4 CD box-set.
This is really a milestone in Canadian music! Over 90 Canadian compositions for the first time ever on record.
The pianist, Elaine Keillor, a long time colleague of Dr. Kallmann, said this about the recording:

Some of you may have discovered that our conference centre includes a food court on the lower level, which is also where our building connects with the Métro system. When the weather is bad you can use this underground system to walk to the Métro and the underground shopping centres that are along St. Catherine.
