Our members open up the vast world of information and repertoire in their daily interactions with students, educators, researchers, musicians, and the general public. 6th ELIA Teachers’ Academy 2013 - "Preparing the Artist of Tomorrow"

The Utrecht School of the Arts opens its doors to the 6th ELIA Teachers' Academy 2013 - 'Preparing the Artist of Tomorrow' held 24 - 26 June 2013 in Utrecht and Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The Teachers' Academy is an international platform for ideas and practices for teachers in artschools in Europe and beyond. Its main aim is to contribute to the professional development for lecturers in higher arts education.

Recently, the Association Européenne de Conservatoires (AEC) has undergone two major exciting changes. First, in January 2013, its offices were relocated from Utrecht to Brussels. This will help AEC's advocacy for European higher music education.

Announcement from the 60th International Rostrum of Composers (IRC) held in Prague, from May 28 to 31, 2013

Dear IMC Members,

We are pleased to announce the selected and recommended work for IRC 2013 which was held in Prague from 28th to 31st of May.

For its 60th Anniversary, the Rostrum gathered representatives from 30 national radio networks from four continents, which presented 51 works composed within the five years preceding the Rostrum. 12 of these works were by composers under the age of 30.
