Request from Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater

I have been contacted by Oleg Orishchenko, Director General and Artistic Director of Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, with an urgent request. Mr. Orishchenko is asking for assistance to organize tours of the company. Since the end of April, the theatre has been relocated to Slovakia, due to the fact that Kharkiv is under constant attack from the Russian invaders. Kharkiv is the second largest city in Ukraine and is situated very close to the Russian border.

 

Please, note that the repertoire has been adapted to offer various types of concerts: chamber, choral, symphonic, organ and vocal music - see this flyer (PDF), and see more information in this letter (PDF).

 

Between IAML's members we have a widespread network, and music librarians, archivists and information specialists are excellent communicators. I therefore ask you to consider if there is any way you can help to support Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater during these very difficult times.
