Invitation to THATCamp Music Library Association 2015

Registration for THATCamp Music Library Association 2015 is now open!

What is THATCamp?

THATCamp stands for “The Humanities and Technology Camp.” It is an unconference: an open, inexpensive meeting where humanists and technologists of all skill levels learn and build together in sessions proposed on the spot.

Digital scholarship is an area that is continuously expanding, engages with various methodologies, and is becoming a regular part of our work. THATCamp Music Library Association 2015 will provide an environment in which MLA librarians, technologists, staff, as well as members of the wider community can interact, learn from each other, create, and network.

This post-conference will provide librarians and staff with hands-on training and skill-building in the areas of digital scholarship with particular relevance for music or performance-related materials.

Anyone can orrganize a THATCamp, anywhere in the world. Read how.

MLA’s THATCamp is a one-day event that will start right after the MLA Annual Conference.

This event will take place on March 1, from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm at the University of Denver. THATCamp Music Library Association site provides information about workshops, travel, registration, and additional details that you may need.

The post-conference fee is $30. Registration will be open through January 30, 2015 or sooner if we reach maximum capacity of 100 persons.

Once you register, we invite you to propose workshops or discussion sessions for this event. This post-conference is open to MLA members, as well as non-MLA members. Please feel free to share this information with your colleagues and students who might be interested in attending this event.

If you have any questions, please contact Anna Kijas (anna.kijas at uconn.edu) and Francesca Giannetti (Francesca.giannetti at Rutgers.edu).
