AIBM/IAML 2012 - voting http://www.library.mcgill.ca/iaml2012/tags/voting?language=en en Voting in the IAML 2012 Montréal Test Election http://www.library.mcgill.ca/iaml2012/node/145?language=en <div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p>Anyone wishing to vote must be registered as a IAML member on the membership database as demonstrated by Kathy Adamson during the first session of Council.</p> <p>In order to vote you will need to be logged into your account on iaml.info. The address to use to access the election directly is: <a href="http://www.iaml.info/en/node/495">http://www.iaml.info/en/node/495</a></p> <p>(If you are already logged in you can just change the number of the node number at the end of the address to 495 )</p> <p>The voting page itself will welcome you and show you your voting id and password (both numeric). You will need to write these down before proceeding. To obtain your PIN (required for voting security) you will need to click on the link provided at the bottom of the page, which will send your PIN to the email address you have registered on the IAML membership database. (If you are unable to access that email address during the conference I have a list of PINs issued by the webmaster Gabriele Gamba.)</p> <p>When you proceed to the next page you will see that you are able to vote for a President — one candidate only or abstain — and up to four Vice Presidents or abstain. After selecting your chosen candidates you will need to enter the PIN you received in email to confirm that you are the person authorized to vote. On completion of voting you will be able to view your voting choices but you will not be able to change them or to vote again.</p> <p>If you have a vote also as a representative of an institution you will need to login separately as that institution in the same way as above in order to cast your vote.</p> <p>Happy voting and thank you for your assistance. The election will be open until the close of Council on Thursday and the result will be announced in the General Assembly on Friday. If anybody has comments to make, please email them to me at antony.gordon @ bl.uk with the subject line: IAML voting.</p> <p>Antony Gordon<br /> IAML Vice President</p> <p>PS. Please note that if your national branch hasn't paid its 2012 dues yet, you will have to ask Antony Gordon for a special username and password to test the system.</p> </div></div></div><div class="field field-name-field-tags field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Tags:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" rel="dc:subject"><a href="/iaml2012/tags/voting?language=en" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel" datatype="">voting</a></div></div></div> Wed, 25 Jul 2012 10:12:53 +0000 joseph.hafner 145 at http://www.library.mcgill.ca/iaml2012 http://www.library.mcgill.ca/iaml2012/node/145?language=en#comments
